Quite good, Tony. Possibly excellent. You describe so well. Your describing how the weather affected you is quite, quite good. And your "rhythms of cold" phrase is poetic and special. If you don't stop, as you told me you weren't, you might possibly write something quite exception in a much more substitial and available form. A novel!
